Hu Yong is the Professor of School of Journalism and Communication, Peking University. Hu is a permanent member of Communication Association of China, and also in the Internet Communication Association of China. He has working experience in print media for 11 years and in television media for 6 years. He acted as the reporter of China Daily, the chief editer of Sanlian Lifeweek, the chairman of editoral board of China Internet Weekly, the chief editor of Global Management, the deputy chief editor of PKU Business Review, the chief editor of Economic Information Network of CCTV, the chief planner of Dialogue, the chief editor of Win in China, the chief planner of “Us”.
He has published many books as The Network is King; Hacker: The cowboy of the computer era; The Rising Cacophony: Personal Expression and Public Discussion in the Internet Age etc. Hu is an active blogger.
